I figure it might be a good idea to do one of these posts along the way, just to give people a rough idea of what is planned for the site. Even if most plans don't survive contact with reality still! If I want this to be successful, as in making enough money to live off then having a solid plan or at the very least a plan of some sort.
So, aside from this blog post, there is also a poll on my Twitter just to get a rough idea of what I should be focusing on going forward to make this an awesome site that people love to read things on!
Currently Planned Content
The Fallout Series: I've already done a review of FO1 and am part way into a review for 2, the plan still being to review all of them though after dabbling in FO76 some more I'm less sure about that one. Having said that I will be doing the rest, the Fallout series got me into PC gaming after all!
Helldivers 2 First Impressions/Review: I'm not sure which approach to take yet, given it's a live service game and could look very different in 12 months.
Survivor/Bullet-Heaven/Reverse Bullet Hell Games: I have quite a few I want to cover and I am still leaning toward the idea of making this site about indie and old games. Due in no small part to my creaky old PC struggling with newer titles.
Blog Posts About Gaming Topics: While I may still cover movies and TV shows too they won't be reviews usually, just sharing my thoughts as while I feel confident reviewing games, I don't with movies or TV (Yet). If you want me to pitch in on a topic, you need only ask! Just no politics or the like, that is a Pandora's box I'd rather not open! Rather talk about games and fun stuff to help people find things they enjoy.
Some Possible Future Content
War Thunder Tips: I play a fair bit of this with friends and while I am not sure I could do a full-on guide for it, a big pile of hints and tips feels much more doable. It would also likely be an easier read in list form!
Dragon Age Reviews: I may do the remaining 2 games from the series but we'll see... Given the review of Origins got zero interest I'm a bit hesitant to expend my time on it yet.
Spoiler-Free RPG Reviews: I love RPGs and I have a veritable boatload of them, old ones, new ones and everything in between. Reviewing them without giving away too many spoilers will be challenging but I can see myself doing it if people want to read them.
Old Game Reviews: I'll be doing some anyway, a lot of the Fallout games class as 'old' now though I do have a modest collection of classics I could also do. XCOM, Alpha Centauri, Heroes of Might and Magic and Original War to name a few off the top of my head.
Indie Reviews: I think some of the smaller games deserve a lot more eyes on them than a lot of the bigger titles these days. Mainly as the AAA scene doesn't really need any help with marketing. So, we'll see how it shapes up and go from there.
