Right, so now all the official bits have been sorted and doing this as a job has been given the green light (for now) I imagine you might be wondering what is coming next? Glad you asked! I am going to be going over some rough plans for what you can expect in the coming weeks and months. It isn't set in stone as lots of things could change over the next few months both in what I do and how I do it but also when I can keep doing it at all so, just something to keep in mind!
The reviews and the blog will be the main things I focus on as the guides will need a bit more time and planning though I do have a couple of ideas lined up anyway. Right, so let's get started explaining roughly what I have planned for each thing. Hopefully, it will be informative at the very least!
The blog itself will just be for things like this very post here, things that don't generally fit into a review, general thoughts about gaming, movies and TV shows and similar things I find interesting. So, lists of favourite things, maybe characters I like, the usual types of things that I hope people might find interesting or entertaining to read. There are no big plans for this yet though I do have a few ideas that will relate to some of the things I am going to review.
Now, for guides I am currently looking at one thing for sure and that will be a collection of hints and tips for various games. Whether I move toward full-fledged guides or stick with those will depend on how well they do. Currently, I only have ones planned for War Thunder, the Fallout series and Mass Effect. Though as a disclaimer I am far from the best War Thunder player out there but if I end up helping a handful of people do a little better, I'd call that a win.
The big one is the reviews, something I considered doing for a while but was never really sure if I could pull off. I'm just going to go for it though and hopefully, with your help and feedback, I'll be able to put some good and useful reviews out for all kinds of games. I may even do movies and TV shows as well but that is on the backburner for the moment. Here are a list of some currently planned reviews:
The Fallout Series: Everything from the first one all the way up to and maybe including 76. Fallout 1 is currently in the process of being written as a 'Look Back' review given how old it is.
The Dragon Age Series: As you'll quickly learn if you follow me I love RPGs, so looking into one of my favourite all-time series just makes sense. Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening is also having its review written.
The Mass Effect Series: Yes, I know the first three things I am planning on looking at all feature multiple games. Yet these being among my favourite games ever, it makes sense to start there. I'll review the Legendary Edition as a complete package as... Well, that is what it is. I also didn't hate Andromeda (Sue me... Actually please don't!)
The Last Spell: Indie games have been a massive source of fun for me over the years and this is a recent favourite. Review in progress!
Those are just some of the things I currently have planned, there are a lot of other things I may look into though I don't want to overplan too much. You can expect a lot of RPG and strategy games from me though what you can also expect is the following:
Spoiler Free: As much as I can reasonably manage anyway, I know it isn't always possible and everyone has a slightly different definition for what they class as a spoiler. I'll do my best to avoid them all the same! (Don't worry, I am not a fan of spoilers either.)
Completed: I'll only tend to review things I have finished, now I may not always do a 100% clear as I am not an avid achievement hunter but I'll try and do as much as I can regardless.
Concise: I'll try to stick to the point as much as possible. I'll try to avoid waffling on for pages about nonsense. Harder than it sounds to me!
So, there we have it! A rough idea of what is coming for this new site of mine. Remember if you like what I do, want to support me or just help me keep doing something I love as a job, check out my Patreon and Ko-Fi links. Any support or feedback is hugely appreciated, thanks for reading!
